RCA Team,
As we enter the last quarter of our fiscal year, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation for your passion and relentless commitment to our mission. The progress we have achieved this year is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of our physicians and team members across the RCA network.
Fiscal year to date, we have welcomed over 180,000 new patients across our practices and completed more than 1.82 million patient visits. Earlier this month, we welcomed South Carolina Retina Institute (SCRI) to the RCA family. Their team of four board-certified physicians brings exceptional clinical expertise and compassion in collaboration with Retina Consultants of South Carolina who have thrived as part of the RCA network. They join 16 physicians from 14 other practices who have become part of RCA since the start of FY’26.
RCA remains deeply connected to the next generation of retina specialists through its involvement in Duke fAVS, Retina World Congress, Pacific Club Retina, and various other industry meetings. Meanwhile, the recent Fellows’ Edition of RCA’s The Show drew more than 175 registered RCA physicians and continues to elevate clinical education by bringing together physicians and fellows to showcase and discuss their most complex cases. From a group of five finalists, Dr. Sidra Zafar from Wills Eye was selected by the judges as the first-place winner.
As we look ahead, I am especially excited about our physician participation at the upcoming ASRS Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada, where more than 25 RCA physicians will contribute to over 20 scientific sessions. Their presentations on investigational products and emerging therapeutic approaches for a range of retinal diseases reflect not only the depth of expertise within our organization, but also our unwavering commitment to advancing retinal care.
Our dedication to innovation and improving outcomes through retinal research remains steadfast. Through May, our world-class investigators and research teams achieved 1,053 randomizations across a variety of clinical trials and currently have 84 actively enrolling. In April, more than 600 research professionals, over 40 physicians, and many industry partners gathered at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, for the 5th Annual RCA National Research Meeting. This meeting continues to be an integral part of strengthening alignment across RCA Research sites, enhancing training opportunities, and increasing collaboration between clinic and research teams.
Thank you for your contributions and the impact you make each day. I am energized by our collective accomplishments and the opportunity to continue advancing our mission of eradicating blindness through innovation and high-quality care.
Sincerely,
Robby Grabow
